About the Office
The role of Deputy Principal Academics is to assist the Principal in developing a school environment which is supportive of learning and high performance achievement among the trainees. The docket of Deputy Principal Academics promotes effective teaching and learning practices across the Polytechnic guided by Curriculum and Assessment policies through monitoring and evaluation. Individual trainees’ progress are regularly recorded in ERP System and made available when required. As the Deputy Principal Academics, I have the vital role of ensuring that the Academic Policy is implemented and service delivery to client done in line with Quality Management System (QMS), and ISO Standards. Like any other Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institution, our curriculum is skill-based and we deliver it in the best way possible. My vision for the Polytechnic is seeing it become a market leader in production of a unique brand labor force sought for the world over. My office operates on an open-door policy both to trainers and trainees who would wish to make inquiries share information and do consultations to achieve a common goal. As a public Institution, we hold the public near and yonder as very important stakeholders. Our relationship with the community is to be symbiotic in nature where the Institution is to extend knowledge generated through research and impart skills developed for the betterment of the society. The Kisumu National Polytechnic is well equipped with competent trainers who are well versed with the demands of education and industry. To our stakeholders especially in industries, we are grateful for the industrial attachments and internships you offer our students and urge you to continue supporting us.
