A message from the Deputy Principal Administration

The Kisumu National Polytechnic is mandated to provide Technical, Industrial, Vocational and Entrepreneurship training. The polytechnic provides a broad-based curriculum to our trainees within which we strive to nurture the talents they possess. Our approach to learning emphasizes equal opportunity for all, and provides flexibility in response to an ever changing market. We acknowledge the role played by the industry and other stakeholders that contribute immensely towards meeting our objectives. Collaboration with industries on trainees’ attachment, internship and recently on curriculum development through Industrial Advisory Board has encouraged technology transfer among the trainees.

An academic journey follows a path that is well defined. In TKNP the learners are well guided to achieve their academic dreams which are tailored to enable graduates to holistically address issues in life through positive change development of habits and provision of tools to keep students on their chosen career paths. The training at TKNP is tailored towards the country’s sustainable development, we understand that the students are unique and capable of improving the world we live in. we also acknowledge that the students are adults hence the programs are flexible (modular) which allows for breaks where necessary.

Life in Kisumu National Polytechnic is healthy, fulfilling and prosperous for students who are focused. At the Kisumu National Polytechnic students are given opportunity to grow and to inspire other potential trainees.
