Our department is dedicated to providing high-quality education and training in various disciplines of applied sciences. Below are the academic programs we offer:
- Craft certificate in Science Laboratory Technology
- This program is open to students who have attained a mean grade of D plain in KCSE. It is an added advantage to have done all the three sciences(Physics, Chemistry and Biology)
- Craft Certificate in Science Laboratory Technology (SLT) is a field of study and practice that focuses on the application of scientific principles and techniques to perform laboratory-based experiments, analyses, and investigations. It has many job opportunities in Research institutions and educational institutions as technicians
- It is a two year modular program that is examined by the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) after each module.
- Craft Certificate in Food Processing and Preservation
- This program is open to students who have attained a mean grade of D plain in KCSE.
- A Craft Certificate in Food Processing and Preservation is a vocational and skill-based training program that focuses on imparting knowledge and practical skills related to the processing and preservation of food products
- It is a two year modular program that is examined by the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) after each module.
- Diploma in Food Science:
- This program is open to students who have attained a mean grade of C- (minus) in KCSE.
- A Diploma in Food Science provides comprehensive training in the scientific principles and techniques related to food production, processing, preservation, and safety. The program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to work in various sectors of the food industry and contribute to the development of safe, nutritious, and high-quality food products
- It is a three year modular program that is examined by the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) after each module.
- Diploma in Analytical Chemistry:
- This program is open to students who have attained a mean grade of C- (minus) in KCSE.
- A Diploma in Analytical Chemistry is a specialized academic program that focuses on the principles and techniques of analytical chemistry. This diploma equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to analyze and characterize substances, identify their chemical composition, and determine their properties and concentrations accurately.
- It is a three year modular program that is examined by the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) after each module.
- Diploma in Applied Biology:
- This program is open to students who have attained a mean grade of C- (minus) in KCSE.

- This program is open to students who have a diploma in analytical chemistry.
