Industrial Liaison Office
STATEMENT FROM THE INDUSTRIAL LIAISON OFFICER
The TKNP ILO is an office that is tasked with the role of linking the trainees with the industry. This the office does by placing the trainees at the industry to acquire hands-on experience inline with their specialization based on CBET curricula and Dual Training programmes . This is after the trainees have acquired requisite skills and knowledge.
The current office holder is Mr. James Olando, assisted by Mr. Calvince Were and Department Attachment Officers in each department.
The Industrial Liaison Officer’s office is tasked with the following objectives:
- Coordination of industrial attachment training for staff and trainees,
- Collaborating with industries for placement of trainees for attachment,
- Coordinating acquisition of insurance cover for trainees proceeding on attachment,
- Briefing trainees on industrial attachment requirement and their welfare during attachment,
- Coordinating supervision of trainees on attachment,
- Maintaining supervisors and attachment reports, and
- Coordinating integration of feedback arising from the industrial attachment experience to improve training and assessment and chairing the industrial attachment committee.
