Recognition of Prior Learning

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) at Kisumu National Polytechnic

Kisumu National Polytechnic aims to validate skills and knowledge acquired through informal and non-formal learning. Many Kenyans, especially in the growing informal sector, possess valuable skills that lack formal recognition.

RPL is a process to assess and certify these skills. By doing so, Kisumu National Polytechnic hopes to improve employability, access to further education, and overall societal recognition for these individuals.

Essentially, the polytechnic is committed to providing a pathway for people to convert their practical experience into formal qualifications.
